The Trafalgar Sun

Trafalgar Sun

What better way to brighten up London on the “most depressing day of the year” than installing a giant Tropicana sun in the middle of Trafalgar Square?  (Although, I think if they do it again, it should give off a bit of heat and then they can fill all of Trafalgar Square with sand and have a beach party…

Unfortunately I was holed up in a dark office all day, but Where The Art Is managed to add these two photos to the Flickr pool for us. Did anyone else get down to see it? Check out the rest of his set here for a better look at it because it was up for one day only!

  1. I went down there after work (http://picturingengland.wordpress.com/2012/01/23/london-city-of-the-rising-sun/) – it was really cool actually, and there was free orange juice! ;)

  2. love the photomontage at the top, very much like David Hockney :)

  3. I agree with Not Just A Mummy Hockney Indeed. What a great idea too a sun in the square
