50 Images of London Street Art Photography: Part 2

How’s your week starting out? I’m excited to be heading to La Bodega Negra (eccentric and fabulous and non-seedy London restaurant found through the back of a Soho sex shop) to celebrate the birthday of the inspiring and lovely Carolina who is just back from visiting the Colombian sun.

Okay, time for part two of this epic London street art post! Here’s the rest, all from the Flickr pool.

Phew! That’s a lot of creativity. Love the captures of some artists at work.

Which ones are the best?

50 Images of London Street Art Photography: Part 1

Thanks for the new Facebook likes this weekend! I am posting there more since I’ve cut down a bit on the blog while I build my brother’s website. Also thanks to those of you who shared the LLO link in exchange for a Stik street art postcard. They are on their way and a new batch of 8 more coming next week.

I’ve also found myself amused by Instagram this weekend…Apparently I have followers. Who knew? So I thought I better step it up a bit. Are you on there?

It’s been a while since I posted a good collection of street art. So, I’ve ventured over to the magical world of East London, oh so far from home, to scope out some of the latest pieces of street art that continually pop up over there. I’m waiting until there’s a blast of street art in the West but apart from Don’s forays into Richmond and a few pieces spotted around Fulham, it’s not looking promising.

Here’s a look at some of the pieces I’ve found followed by a few from the Flickr pool at the end and in fact, I will continue to a new post tomorrow because there is a ton!

Favourites? There’s some real talent on London’s streets right now, don’t you think?

Oh, I forgot to tell you that the blog I started for work in November, CAPA World, was featured as blog of the week on GoAbroad.com. There’s some pretty awesome content in the pipeline as well. Follow along?

Street Art Catch Up with Alex Ellison

I know of very few people (apart from Griff over at Street Art London or Claude Crommelin) who are as on top of the street art scene in London as Alex Ellison. I had a great time searching for street art in Barcelona last week, but of course I missed out on a weekend of exploring around here. So I thought I’d see what Alex has added to the Flickr pool from while I was away and share with you here.

We’ll start with a big wall by Paul Insect.

Of course Mobstr is up to the usual signage tricks:

And a lovely mural in true black and white Phlegm style:

One artist I was spotted work from all over the streets of Gracia and El Raval in Barcelona is C215. And of course, he’s been busy in London as well. Here’s one last shot from Alex:

Brick Canvas of Blackall Street

It was a few years ago I first stumbled on Blackall Street in East London. It’s a colourful little street where you would never really go unless you were looking for street art, which I was. And I go back there quite often now to scope out the changing canvas of work on the brick walls where you can usually find the likes of Stik, C215, Swoon, Alice and loads of other gems.

Spot any new street art pieces lately? Do you ever go out looking for it like I do?

London Street Art: C215

C215 (real name Christian Guémy) is a stencil artist from Paris, but a few of his works have popped up on the walls around London.

Here’s a great little London stencil blitz video from his MySpace (where there’s plenty more of his fastastic work).

His images are colourful and bursting with itty bitty details. The ones below were all captured by GutchinLondon and added to the LLO Flickr pool for us to enjoy.
