There has been some excellent photography of tunnels and alleys and hallways contributed to the Flickr pool that deserves to be seen. So today is the day. Here’s a collection of London shots that show perspective. Most of us spend a great deal of time walking through these tunnels, but we rarely take much notice as to how powerful a photograph can be created inside of them.
If you missed the latest Lazarides exhibition inside the Old Vic Tunnels underneath Waterlook station like I did, Iris Jones captured a few photos of the creepiness and gore that was meant to represent Dante’s Inferno.
According to Iris Jones, “You can still hear trains and everything smells of damp cave.”
“There are floating gold ships and walls of fire and suns made of hypodermic needles and pigeon wings,” she said.
